The Thean Hou Temple in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, is one of the largest and oldest Chinese temples in Southeast Asia, dedicated to the goddess Mazu (the Heavenly Mother), the Chinese sea goddess.
This is a six-tiered temple, situated atop Robson Heights on Lorong Bellamy, known for its stunning architecture, that incorporates influences from Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism.
The temple is featuring intricate carvings, vibrant decorations, dragon motifs on pillars and ceilings, and thousands of red and yellow lanterns, which are particularly vibrant during festivals like Chinese New Year.
