The design of Al-Shamal Stadium in Ash-Shamal, Qatar, with capacity of 45,120, seems very modern and innovative, based on the traditional fishing boats of the regions known as dhow, commonly used in Arab States of the Persian Gulf. It very well reflects the fishing history of the region and shows how easily Qatar can incorporate cultural aspects into their spectacular designs.
