Crocus are one of the first flowers to bloom each spring, in a variety of gorgeous bright colors and shades of including purple, lavender, blue, orange, yellow, cream and white.
Depending on the variety, Crocus plants can bloom in the spring, autumn, or winter.
Traditionally crocus has been equated with joy and cheerfulness, especially yellow crocus.
And because of it is blooming in February, the crocus is as a symbol of hope. Winter will indeed end, spring will come again in its full blown beauty and life will go on.
