Beautiful Winter aconite (Eranthis hyemalis), one of the first flowers of spring in full bloom, with cheerful brilliant yellow blossoms, typical for a Buttercup family, which make a nice contrast with the old brown leaves. All parts of the plants are poisonous, sometimes called a 'wolf bane'. In Greek mythology, Medea tried to kill Theseus with aconite in his wine.
