Golden diadem, studded with semiprecious stones, discovered on the head of the mummy of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun in his tomb at the Valley of the Kings, Thebes, Egypt, which was probably worn by him in lifetime. The gilded wooden figure from the pharaoh's tomb, in the oval shape of Cartouche (hieroglyph in Egyptian language for word 'name'), which is inlaid with ivory and ebony, enclosing the sovereign's name.
