Wallpaper with three strutting male turkeys (turkey-cocks).
The turkeys are large birds in the genus Meleagris. The first domesticated turkeys are known by the Indians of pre-Columbian Mexico. After the birds were taken to Spain and widespread throughout Europe and England, they became popular mainly because of their beautiful plumage and their meat for food.
