The famous amazingly beautiful colorful undulating sandstone rock formations, called 'The Wave', a small ravine which is located in Coconino County, Arizona, USA, near the border between Arizona and Utah, on the slopes of the Coyote Buttes, in the Paria Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, on the Colorado Plateau. The thin ridges of the U-shaped twisted troughs are created by the erosion of bedding within the Navajo Sandstone.
